Business Intelligence

According to the Gartner IT Glossary, "Business intelligence (BI) is an umbrella term that includes the applications, infrastructure and tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance"

At MS Soft we are experienced and skilled in the Microsoft Business Intelligence suite of tools and enjoy helping organisations to find their own "Order from Chaos" with our help.

Data Warehousing

At MS Soft we are familiar with both the INMON and Kimball Data Warehouse design philosophy. We are not religous about either and always try to work with the client to choose the approach that suits them best.

Microsoft SQL Server

MS Soft is experienced in delivering BI Solutions around the following technologies. While we have in the past delivered BI solutions using SQL 2005, we are not looking for new work on that platform unless it involves helping a client migrate to 2012 of course!!

Sharepoint 2010

Sharepoint 2010 is a popular platform with many of our clients and we are experienced at building solutions that deploy into the Sharepoint environment. Having said that, MS Soft are not Sharepoint experts and we rely on our strategic relationships to bring that expertise on board should we need to.

Analysis and Solution Architecture

We can provide Business Analysis and Solution Archicture to clients that may be wanting to start a BI Project but do not have any in-house capability in this area to apply to the project.

Project Planning, Management and Tracking

From our years of experience in the IT Industry we have performed many roles in IT. If a client does not have their own project planning, management and tracking resources, MS Soft can include this as part of the project effort. Alternatively, MS Soft is happy to work in with whatever Planning, Management and Tracking methodology a client may already have in place.
